ABOUT
Exploring the Ecologies of Objects.

Graduating from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai 2004, I began my creative journey with a Design company in Bangalore until 2010.
I was introduced to ceramics as a hobby course while setting up Songs of Summer, focussing on home and garden decor products.
Clay immediately resonated with me through its depth, tactile and transformative nature.
What began as curiosity soon grew into an ongoing practice of exploring art, craft and design through this medium.
I have spent the years, immersed in the process of learning through making, experimenting, understanding ceramics intuitively and through travels and engagement with other artists.
From sculptural floral pieces to functional everyday objects , I work towards finding a balance between artistry, material and craftsmanship exploring organic forms, texture and quiet detailing shaped by nature and my personal experiences.
The pieces embody a search for harmony and balance ,
between organic lines and refined silhouettes, between surface and depth, between stillness, movement and colour.

EXPLORATIONS

The intentional short batches, honours the individuality of each piece & celebrates the beauty found in timeless handcrafted ceramics.

Organic inspiration
Clay as the guide and nature as inspiration, revealing hidden stories within each piece. Internal and external landscapes shape the creative journey.
Experimental techniques
The evolving practice - moving between hand-building, wheel throwing and sculptural construction.
Techniques are explored not as fixed methods ,but as a path to expand beyond boundaries.
Sensory design
Texture, color, and form combine to create pieces that invite touch and emotion.

The Why — Endless Possibilities
The love for the medium grew out of its infinite possibilities and versatility.
The nature of the medium, is a grounding one, moving beyond concepts.
Its an exploration of form, function and aesthetics.

The Process — Balancing Stillness and Motion.
The journey of creation with ceramics include not only the medium, but it's interaction with all elements, for it to come to fruition.
Fluidity exists in the process, where a static idea evolves into multiple forms, constantly growing .
